The International Bowling Campus in Arlington, Texas is home to the sport’s premier museum, the International Bowling Museum. After being in St. Louis, Missouri, from November 2008 to January 2010, it reopened there. The museum strives to both inform and amuse visitors with its cutting-edge displays and interactive exhibits.

Museum Arts Inc., based in Dallas, was contracted to create the blueprints and physical structure for the new building. Bowling is the most popular spectator sport in the United States, so naturally this is where you’ll find the International Bowling Hall of Fame, the World Bowling Writers (WBW), and the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Hall of Fame, as well as numerous exhibits detailing the sport’s rich history and current popularity.

Intriguing inquiries into bowling and the profound impact it has had on culture are sparked by a visit to the International Bowling Museum. Visitors may learn about the game’s ancient history, celebrate its modern heyday, and peek into the sport’s high-tech future thanks to life-size reproductions, rare video footage, exhibits, and displays.

Start off with a visit to the Bowling Hall of Fame, where you can call up old video clips and read in-depth biographies of the sport’s most legendary figures. Witness Don Carter’s pinsetter-to-champion journey in its entirety. Check out the backstory of 10 time All-American and 2007 USBC Hall of Fame inductee Carolyn Dorin-Ballard. Then, look around at the fun reproductions and historical artifacts that show how bowling has evolved from its ancient Egyptian, Medieval British, and early American tavern origins.

Finally, we’ll take a look at the game’s unexpected cultural impact through the works of Washington Irving and Charles Schulz. Bowling’s traditional pairing with beer is also discussed for your edification. The greatest part of your trip, maybe, is the mini-bowling lanes along Route 66 that you can use to wind down the day.

You can pick up a memorable souvenir at the International Bowling Museum’s gift shop. Check out the cool Hall of Fame stuff honoring the sport’s all-time greats. Pick up some t-shirts, polos, and sweatshirts to wear as mementos. The bowling enthusiast in your life can even have a bowling ball made just for them!

The International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame is continuously hosting exciting events. Events at the museum are one-of-a-kind and range from storytelling and Q&A sessions with visiting professional bowlers to one-of-a-kind contests. The Hall of Fame Xtravaganza is a competitive fundraising event hosted yearly in Las Vegas, and you can sign up to participate in it if you like.

You can hold your next gathering, party, or team-building activity at the International Bowling Museum. The 18,000 square foot space is ADA compliant and can host events with as few as 20 guests and as many as 350. It features an interactive museum, a mini movie theater, a catering kitchen, and free onsite parking.
