Although renamed from Globe Life Park to Choctaw Stadium, the stadium’s original Texas-style architecture remains intact. Texas Live!, a one-of-a-kind entertainment district with restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues, a flagship event space, an upmarket hotel and conference space, parks, recreation areas, and a 12-acre lake, is located on the same 270-acre site as the facility.

Arlington, Texas, has hosted the Texas Rangers for almost 25 years, therefore the city has a passion for baseball and events that rivals the scale of the entire Lone Star State. Choctaw Stadium is undeniable evidence of this. This multi-use facility, which has housed the Texas Rangers baseball team since 1994, features more than 48,000 outdoor seats and has hosted two World Series games and the 1995 All-Star Game.

Choctaw Stadium combines cutting-edge technology with a nod to baseball’s storied history in its design. Choctaw Stadium was redesigned in 2020 to accommodate football and soccer as well as its original purpose. The park’s front is made of granite and brick, and it features a home run porch in right field and an asymmetrical playing field, both of which are typical of ballparks built in the early 20th century. The field is made of genuine grass, specifically a plush Tifway 419 turf. A significant emblem of Texas pride, the Lone Star may be seen both outside and inside the park.

Choctaw Stadium does not play around when it comes to its food and drink options. From the standard hotdog and beer to chicken-fried bacon on a stick, fried S’mores with cream cookies, and the legendary Broomstick—a 2-foot long hotdog with chili, cheese, and jalapeno—there are more than a hundred fixed and mobile concession stands to select from. The Holland Hot Tot ‘Chos, a mountain of tater tots covered in peppers, meat, and hollandaise queso, is for those who want to go all out. Concerts and banquets are only two examples of the public and private events that can be held at Choctaw Stadium.

When the Rangers relocated across the street after the 2019 season, Choctaw Stadium underwent a transformation from a baseball-only to a multi-purpose venue. It has since played host to 50 high school football games in addition to XFL and USL League One professional soccer matches. This year sees the return of professional soccer and high school football, as well as the 2022 arrival of the Major League Rugby expansion team Dallas Jackals, who will play their home games at Choctaw Stadium.
